UVIC Scholarship on its way!

We are in the final steps of creating a $1000 per year award to the new Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship program at UVIC.

The CPA year-long Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship program is a new psychology internship program at UVIC. It helps train student learners in psychology, enhance the capacity for mental health services in Victoria, and help address the mental health needs of students on campus. The Pre-Doctoral Interns contribute to overall student care, bring new areas of expertise, as well as diverse lived experiences and identities, that benefit UVIC students in pursuit of their wellness goals. The new program supports a model of student learners helping their peers and prepares interns to transition into practitioners, therefore being a part of the solution for the future of health care.

The Sydney Bednarik Mental Health Foundation has agreed to a $1000 per year award for at least the next three years, starting in 2026.

We will keep you updated with its progress and when the award is ready to take applications (maybe you know someone who could apply for it).

We feel this is an excellent program to donate to as students are both ones who can often struggle AND be on their way to creating a positive change in our mental health systems as they enter the workforce.
